“It is an exciting time to join a passionate and innovative team as they experience increasing demand for the BioConnect platform.” – Julia Webb, Vice President of Alliances, BioConnect
A former VoiceVault executive is now BioConnect‘s new Vice President of Alliances, the company has announced.
In joining BioConnect, Julia Webb brings a wealth of experience in biometrics to the role, and not just from her time with voice biometrics specialist VoiceVault. Webb kickstarted her career as Director of Marketing with fingerprint authentication specialist Identix, and proceed to a role as marketing VP for Bioscrypt, another fingerprints specialist, from 1999 to 2007. She was VoiceVault’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 2007 to September of this year.
In a statement announcing Webb’s appointment, BioConnect CEO Rob Douglas emphasized her experience and cumulative expertise, calling her “a thought leader in the biometric identity space,” and adding that Webb “has made a material impact on developing the biometric industry” over the last two decades. “Julia has a long history working with global partners serving financial institutions, Fortune 500 enterprises and the world’s largest technology platform companies,” Douglas said.
Webb is the second big new hire for BioConnect this year, with the company having appointed Courtney Gibson as its new Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer this past spring. Webb’s role as BioConnect’s Alliances VP will be “to accelerate our technology and go to market partnerships for our BioConnect mobile platform,” according to the company’s statement.
