Imprivata Brings OneSign and Confirm ID to Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

Imprivata is trying to support healthcare agencies looking to make the transition to the cloud. To that end, the company has made its Imprivata OneSign and Imprivata Confirm ID solutions available on the Microsoft Azure platform.

According to Impirvata, the arrangement will accelerate digital transformation because it will provide healthcare providers with more readily scalable identity management capabilities. OneSign, for example, is a single sign-on (SSO) offering that lets people log in from remote, on-premises, and mobile workstations with either a badge swipe or a fingerprint scan. As a result, it makes an organization more flexible, and ensures that employees always have access to key workplace applications and materials.

Confirm ID, meanwhile, is an authentication and recordkeeping solution that lets organizations fulfill their DEA requirements for the Electronic Prescription of Controlled Substances (EPCS). It supports biometric authentication and hands-free authentication to improve workflows in clinical environments.

The news builds on Imprivata’s existing relationship with Microsoft. The two companies launched Healthcare Seamless SSO back in 2019, and integrated OneSign with the Azure Active Directory to give healthcare workers access to Microsoft apps in April of 2020.

Imprivata recently released a new assessment tool to help healthcare organizations spot weak points in their security setup. The company also unveiled a new EPCS solution with face and liveness detection technology from IDEMIA and Aware.
