Jonathan Morris has officially signed on as ImageWare’s new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Morris brings more than 23 years of executive experience to the position, and joins the company after a stint as the CFO of American Patriot Brands. Before that, Morris made prior stops at Gain Capital, the Blackstone Group, and Credit Suisse.
“Jonathan brings savvy expertise, as well as deep relationships in the global financial sector,” said ImageWare CEO Kristin Taylor, who took over in February. “His breadth of understanding of the tech sector make him the best choice to lead our financial strategy as we drive towards key growth and profitability in the coming 24 months.”
“I look forward to joining this team and bringing my relationships, expertise and ability to execute to the company,” added Morris.
The news comes shortly after ImageWare received a patent for a conditional biometric enrollment system that concerns the capture of biometric credentials in different environments. The company previously announced a series of deals worth more than $1.2 million, and provided biometric software for Laxton’s Chameleon devices. ImageWare is hoping to build on those successes in the months ahead as the CCPA increases the demand for secure authentication technology.
