IDmission’s passive liveness detection technology has officially achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance. The solution had a zero percent error rate during the iBeta testing process, and fulfilled all of the ISO/IEC 30107-3 requirements.
IDmission provides its clients with a comprehensive Know Your Customer solution that supports face, fingerprint, voice, and iris biometrics. The passive liveness detection component is intended to strengthen the platform’s identity verification procedures and spot false identities to reduce the threat of fraud. The platform is specifically marketed to financial institutions, although it ultimately has applications in a number of different industries.
“There is a growing urgency for reliable biometric data verification among financial institutions, insurance providers, healthcare providers, lenders, and other companies delivering online transactions to consumers,” said IDmission CEO Ashim Banerjee. “We have a reliable solution that includes anti-spoofing techniques for institutions to use in identity verification processes.”
The company can deliver passive liveness detection on mobile devices and through the cloud, and it also offers hardware components to developers that have the ability to develop and deploy their own solution. The technology is supposed to operate in the background, allowing clients to verify the identities of their customers without adding any friction to the authentication process.
The news comes only days after IDmission announced that Miles Busby would be joining the company as the new Chief Revenue Officer. ID R&D, meanwhile, previously achieved ISO 30107-3 compliance with its IDLive Face solution at the beginning of the year.
