IDEX, Key Partners to Promote Biometric Cards at Trustech

IDEX Biometrics is going to attend this week’s Trustech 2018 event in France together with two important partners – Feitian and Chutian Dragon.

The former has developed a dual interface biometric payment card featuring an IDEX fingerprint sensor, and IDEX announced last week that a trial of the solution was now underway in Asia. Chutian Dragon, meanwhile, is a China-based smart card developer and manufacturer that has been certified by China UnionPay, Mastercard, Visa, Amex, and JCB; the company’s partnership with IDEX was announced last week.

The developments are of great importance to IDEX, which has made the emerging biometric cards market a key focus of its business strategy in recent months.

In a statement announcing its plans for Trustech 2018, IDEX said it and these partners “will be available to demonstrate their biometric fingerprint technologies being used within a dual-interface smart card for payments.” IDEX will be represented at the event by Sales and Marketing VP David Orme and Product Management Director Jerome Chavanel.

Trustech 2018 is scheduled to run from November 27th to 29th in Cannes, France.
