IDEMIA‘s North American identity and security arm is welcoming an important new member to the executive team, naming Douglas Harvey its new Chief Technology Officer.
In announcing the appointment, IDEMIA noted Harvey’s previous work with Computer Science Corporation and L3Harris, both companies that operate in the defense technology space. IDEMIA highlighted Harvey’s experience at L3Harris in particular, explaining that he led the company’s efforts working with the Federal Aviation Administration to develop its System Wide Information Management Cloud Distribution Service.
Harvey’s appointment comes after the promotion of Donnie Scott to the position of IDEMIA I&S North America’s CEO earlier this year. At the time of his appointment, Scott noted that the IDEMIA arm has “ambitious growth objectives”; now, it appears that Harvey will be an important figure in helping to meet them. In his new role with IDEMIA, Harvey will be tasked with accelerating product design and innovation, as well as establishing new business channels for IDEMIA I&S North America.
“IDEMIA is thrilled Doug has joined our leadership team, boosting our collective expertise in digital technology and product innovation,” Scott said. “Doug’s experience spans more than two decades and multiple technology sectors. His insights will be critical as we work to elevate IDEMIA’s position in industry and across the technology sector.”
For his part, Harvey called it “an honor” to join the ranks of IDEMIA, praising the company for its position as an innovator and industry leader. “I am excited to put my experience to work and collaborate on an accelerated technological vision for the company as it solidifies its place as the global leader in security and authentication,” he said.
IDEMIA I&S North America is, among other things, the provider of technological solutions for TSA PreCheck, the Transportation Security Administration’s expedited passenger processing solution, which reached the important milestone of 12 million enrollments earlier this month.
