IDEMIA has promoted one of its own to the role of CEO of its Identity and Security North America division.
Donnie Scott has been with the company since 2018, when he was named SVP and General Manager of its North American Public Security arm. In that role, Scott oversaw the expansion of IDEMIA’s TSA PreCheck enrollment program for the Department of Homeland Security, an expedited traveler screening program; and he helped to position IDEMIA as a leading vendor of biometric solutions for the law enforcement sector.
Prior to his employment with IDEMIA, Scott has held sales-related roles with companies including DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Electronic Data Systems. Currently, he is also the Treasurer of the International Biometrics + Identity Association.
In his new role as the CEO of IDEMIA I&S North America, Scott will report directly to Pierre Barrial, who was named the CEO of the overall company in June of last year.
“I am very pleased to appoint Donnie as CEO of IDEMIA Identity and Security North America and welcome him to IDEMIA’s global executive team,” Barrial said in a statement announcing the new appointment. “I have worked closely with Donnie for a number of years and know that he is the right leader at the right time to lead our efforts in such an important market for the Group.”
For his part, Scott acknowledged that he will be leading I&S North America at a time of intensifying demand for the kinds of technological solutions that the company offers in the areas of travel, commerce, and public services access in particular.
“We have ambitious growth objectives as a team here at I&S supported by our long history of delivering market-leading identity and security solutions to both government and commercial customers here in North America,” he said. “I look forward to working with Pierre and the rest of the IDEMIA executive team to successfully deliver against these goals in the months ahead.”
