IDEMIA has brought on Astrid Warren as its new Chief People Officer. Warren has more than 20 years of experience as an HR professional, and joins the company after a stint as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for SITA.
As the Chief People Officer, Warren will be asked to help set the agenda and the overall relations strategy for the IDEMIA workforce. She will report directly to IDEMIA Group President and CEO Pierre Barrial, and will also serve as a member of the Executive Committee. Warren officially took over the role on May 18.
Warren spent 13 years with Microsoft before joining SITA, eventually serving as the Head of HR for Microsoft Middle East & Africa, amongst other leadership positions. SITA was listed as one of Forbes’ Best Employers of 2020 during Warren’s tenure with the company.
“Astrid brings exceptional experience across all facets of human resources strategy and development on a global scale,” said Barrial. “Her deep experience in leading HR in the tech industry combined with a proven track record of building high performing, diverse teams who deliver business results across regions and cultures, will be a great asset to our Group.”
“My job in Human Resources has always been driven by my passion for helping people grow and develop their skills and I look forward to meeting and working with the teams at IDEMIA to help them expand their capability to deliver business results,” added Warren.
The news comes a few short weeks after IDEMIA named John Hynes as the newest member of its Group Board. The company is currently moving toward the commercialization of biometric payment cards after unveiling a new card featuring technology from IDEX Biometrics.
