IDEMIA Showcases Biometric Solutions at Passenger Terminal Expo

The appetite for biometric airport screening on the rise, IDEMIA is showcasing a range of its solutions at this year’s Passenger Terminal Expo, which kicked off today in Stockholm.

Among the solutions on display are MorphoWave, its contactless fingerprint scanner; its MorphoFace facial recognition system; and MorphoOneLook, which combines facial and iris recognition. Also in the spotlight are data-driven analytics solutions: the Morpho Video and Image Analytic Platform, and the PNR/Morpho Traveler Analytics Suite.

It’s a propitious time to showcase such solutions to the air travel industry. Airline and airport administrators are increasingly looking to automated, biometric technologies to cope with increased passenger volumes, while at the same time government security agencies around the world – including, notably, the US Customs and Border Protection agency – are seeing great potential in the security applications of biometric screening.

In a statement announcing its attendance at PTE 2018, IDEMIA asserted that it currently “operates free-flow passenger solutions in several international airports through the world,” pointing to Singapore’s Changi Airport as a notable recent client.

PTE 2018 runs until March 22nd, with IDEMIA showcasing its solutions from stand 422.
