The ID Talk team was recording on-site at this year’s Identity Week America conference in Washington, D.C. last week. And amid the energetic commotion of the show floor, co-hosts Tony Bitzionis and Alex Perala had the opportunity to speak on the record with a few big names:
Thales’ Neville Pattinson, who was recently named Board Chair of the International Biometrics + Identity Association. Neville discussed the IBIA’s efforts to clear up common misconceptions about biometric technology, and offered insights about the IBIA’s inner workings and strategic outreach efforts.
Terry Brenner, IDVerse’s VP and Head of Legal and Compliance. As a legal expert at a major identity assurance vendor, Terry shared a unique perspective that is not often heard. The discussion ranged from the shifting regulatory landscape, to educating clients about risk, to the importance of having an ethical framework in place.
Jay Meier, who heads up FaceTec’s North American Operations and serves on working groups with the Kantara Initiative and the Identity Theft Resource Center. Jay elaborated on themes that have come up in his previous appearances on ID Talk as he discussed FaceTec’s big new identity assurance solution – the UR Code.
All three guests offered insights from their unique positions within the identity tech sector. In the process, they helped to illustrate why Identity Week America is such a hotspot for industry leadership.
