Gallagher Integrates Invixium’s Face and Thermal Screening Tech

Gallagher Security has integrated Invixum’s IXM WEB software into its own Command Centre access control platform. The joint solution is designed to help improve public health outcomes during the pandemic, and will provide Command Centre customers with contactless facial recognition and temperature detection capabilities courtesy of Invixium.

Invixium has taken several steps to improve the utility of its platform in response to COVID-19. Most notably, the company has updated its facial recognition algorithm to identify people wearing masks, and has also released an Enhancement Kit that reads the user’s temperature at the tear duct. Those scans are carried out with Invixum’s flagship IXM TITAN reader.

With the new setup, security personnel will receive an alert whenever someone tries to enter a venue without a mask, or while they are running an elevated temperature. Any such events will be recorded in the Alarm Viewer of the Gallagher Command Centre.

Meanwhile, system operators will be able to use Gallagher’s software for biometric enrollment and device management, and to synchronize access privileges. In that regard, businesses can assign as many as 10 cards to a single individual.

Gallagher’s collaboration with Invixium dates as far back as 2019. The news comes shortly after LenelS2 integrated Invixium’s tech into its own time and access control offerings in December. Invixium has also formed recent distribution partnerships with Honeywell and SIASA, and garnered a Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Award for its strong COVID-19 response.
