Biometric access control solutions provider FST Biometrics has announced that it has received factory certification from Lenel Systems. Consequently, FST has also joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance program. The result: FST’s Biometrics In Motion Identification software now interfaces with Lenel’s OnGuard access control system.
Using an open architecture design, Lenel’s OnGuard can integrate a wide range of security management technologies. This flexibility, while breaking down adoption barriers by allowing customers to tailor security to their needs, takes advantage of FST Biometrics’ multi-factor solution.
“FST’s biometric access solution combines facial recognition and behavioral analytics and is able to identify authorized individuals in motion without the need to stop or slow down,” explains Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances at Lenel. “We look forward to FST Biometrics’ continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
Shahar Belkin, FST’s chief technology officer expands: “The ability to integrate our In Motion Identification technology into the OnGuard access control system will expand our reach and make our solutions seamless to integrate and available to more end users who seek seamless access experience along with ultimate security.”
As a member of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance, FST Biometrics finds itself allongside fellow member MorphoTrak (Safran). MorphoTrak was certified in February of this year. As a result, Morpho biometric access readers have also become more interoperable with the OnGuard access control system.
