ForgeRock has officially achieved ISO 27001 certification. The company’s technology was evaluated by the British Assessment Bureau, and was found to meet the requirements for the BS EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 standard.
According to ForgeRock, the news reflects the company’s broader commitment to data privacy. The ISO 27001 standard is based on a “Plan-Do-Check-Act” (PDCA) model that asks recipients to deploy and maintain a security system that keeps pace with the latest technology advancements. Companies that achieve that standard are expected to enforce those data security practices at every level of the organization.
ForgeRock’s certification was accomplished with the help of its ForgeRock Identity Cloud and ForgeRock Identity Platform portfolio of products. The solutions provide customers with on-premises and cloud-based security and come with 24-hour international support.
“At ForgeRock, we recognize the most prevalent cybersecurity challenges for organizations stem from identity,” said ForgeRock CISO Russ Kirby. “Achieving full ISO 27001 certification underscores our commitment to delivering superior digital identity solutions to our customers and providing sufficient protection to ensure their data is secure.”
ForgeRock recently took steps that will automate some of the identity tools in its portfolio. The improved AI technology will streamline onboarding and password reset processes, and make it easier for clients to scale digital identity services for customers and employees alike. ForgeRock has also released a new ForgeRock Go solution that supports the use of any authentication factor that meets the FIDO Alliance’s WebAuthN standard when logging into an account.
In the meantime, the company has solidified is relationship with its existing partners while continuing to add new ones to its extensive network. On that front, ForgeRock renewed its security partnership with Nok Nok Labs back in July, while TypingDNA joined the ForgeRock Trust Network in the middle of August. The new ISO certification should only make the ForgeRock portfolio more appealing to other potential partners moving forward.
