Fingerprint Cards Adds Two Board Members to Support Growth and Biometric Market Expansion

Fingerprint Cards AB has appointed John Lord and Carl Johan Grandinson to its Board of Directors, aiming to strengthen the company’s leadership as it continues its strategic transformation. The appointments were confirmed at the company’s Annual General Meeting on June 24, 2025, and mark an important step in FPC’s efforts to accelerate growth in the global biometrics market.

The board expansion follows a strong quarter for FPC. In Q1 2025, the company reported a 100 percent year-over-year revenue increase, doubling from SEK 9.1 million in Q1 2024 to SEK 18.2 million. The growth reflects FPC’s renewed focus on core biometric solutions and new commercial partnerships in the access control and security sectors.

John Lord brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles across global finance and technology firms. He currently serves as chairman and investor at Panintelligence, Relative Insight, and Engage PSG Search. His background in scaling technology-driven businesses and managing investment portfolios will support FPC’s financial and operational strategy.

Carl Johan Grandinson joins the board as a founding partner of Qvantea Capital, an investment firm specializing in enterprise software. A graduate of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Grandinson offers expertise in business development and software growth strategies. His insights will be especially valuable as FPC continues to expand in the biometric access control market.

The appointments come alongside FPC’s recent partnership with LEGIC Identsystems to enhance biometric security solutions. The collaboration targets use cases in smart buildings, industrial environments, and financial services, where secure identity verification is increasingly in demand.

The board is chaired by Christian Lagerling, who has held the position since 2022. With the addition of Lord and Grandinson, the board now brings together experience in finance, enterprise technology, and biometric systems—positioning FPC to respond to growing global demand for biometric authentication solutions.
