FacePhi and everis will be coordinating their efforts in the Americas after forming an extensive technology partnership that will strengthen their joint position in the region. In that regard, the two companies will provide clients with advice and technical support while simultaneously working to develop new technological services. FacePhi and everis will also co-promote the various products in each other’s portfolios, with everis integrating FacePhi’s biometric solutions (including its digital onboarding solution) directly into its own portfolio.
Both companies are already established players in Latin America. everis has more than 10,000 employees spread across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru and the United States, while FacePhi has provided face-based biometric onboarding services for more than 60 organizations in South America. Most of those clients are banks and financial institutions.
FacePhi is hoping that the everis partnership will extend its reach in finance and in other sectors, including healthcare and retail. The new joint offerings are expected to be particularly appealing to organizations that are looking to complete ther digital transformations.
“Thanks to this alliance, we can more strongly promote solutions such as 100 percent digital onboarding or access through facial recognition in many sectors,” said FacePhi CEO Javier Mira. “The partnership also opens up doors to new markets at a time of rapid expansion for FacePhi.”
everis was one of the many companies that added temperature detection to its portfolio in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. FacePhi, meanwhile, recently secured a spot on the annual RegTech100 list, and has provided remote identity verification services for financial projects in Argentina and Peru.
The everis partnership will advance FacePhi’s ongoing international expansion efforts. The company is currently gaining ground in the APAC market after opening a new office in South Korea in 2019.
