It’s Mobile World Congress 2018 this week, and FindBiometrics is bringing you coverage straight from the international conference in Barcelona. Reporting live from the exhibition floor, FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill connected with Fabrice Jogand-Coulomb, Mobile Solutions Strategy, HID Global.
Jogand-Coulomb discussed the mobile ID solutions on the horizon for HID, with GSMA and other players working to combine government issued ID with solutions that currently only provide non-government-issued ID.
“In Tanzania we saw the launch of passport and ongoing applications for emergency passports on mobile,” he said.
The conversation turns to Jogand-Coulomb’s excitement about what’s going on in the mobile sector, and the extension of mobile for identity, as well as all the additional applications and value mobile brings to HID’s solutions. He concludes with a recap of HID Global’s 2017 activity: “Last year we has a pretty good year, we had the acquisition of Arjo Systems,” he said, “with this we have a complete set and solutions for chip based solutions and for mobile.”
