Trustonic came to this week’s Mobile World Congress after a very busy year. The company’s Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology was embraced by a range of interests, form a government security contractor in the UK, to a system-on-chip specialist exploring the connected car space, to a major digital authentication body in South Korea.
In a discussion with FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Trustonic CTO Richard Hayton took the opportunity to delve into the technology and the added security it brings to a range of devices, and how it can be used further boost the security offered by biometric authentication. The two also discussed the emergence of the Internet of Things, which Hayton called “a massive space” that brings a range of problems to solve; and Hayton talked a little about Trustonic’s forthcoming “digital holograms” solution for recording device lifecycle events, which he says will be available soon.
