CyberLink will be starting the new year with a trip to the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The company will be showcasing its FaceMe facial recognition solution with several partner product demos that highlight some of the different use cases for the technology.
Those demos include offerings from Ordyx, CyberSoft, and OnDisplay IO, each of which is using FaceMe to achieve a different end result. Ordyx, for example, has integrated FaceMe into a new Point-of-Sale system that uses facial recognition to verify the identity of the cashier when they check in at the register. Customers can also opt into the payments system, in which case they will be able to complete in-store purchases with contactless facial biometrics.
CyberSoft, meanwhile, is using FaceMe as a people counter. Venue operators can use the company’s solution to tally the number of people in a building, and to generate real-time statistics about their clientele. In that regard, FaceMe can be used to capture attributes like age, gender, and facial expression.
Finally, OnDisplay IO has paired FaceMe with its own FaceScan thermal screening solution. The combination allows FaceScan to verify someone’s identity and check their health at the same time, and now offers support for certain kinds of ID cards.
CES 2022 is set to run from January 4th to 8th at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The FaceMe-powered products will be on display in the North Hall at Booth 9543.
“Over the past year, we have continued to innovate and improve FaceMe, making it one of the most accurate and secure solutions in the market today,” said CyberLink Founder and CEO Jau Huang. “Our CES booth will showcase the latest improvements to FaceMe Security and the FaceMe SDK, together with exciting new applications developed by key business partners.”
FaceMe is compatible with Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS devices, and can be deployed at the edge or integrated directly into connected hardware. Examples include security cameras, access control kiosks, and service robots in addition to the CES applications. CyberLink’s facial recognition technology has also performed well in anti-spoofing challenges and NIST testing.
