CLEAR’s Identity Platform Reaches 38 Million Members as eGate Network Expands to 37 Airports

CLEAR closed 2025 with 38 million total platform members, up 31.5 percent year-over-year, as its biometric identity infrastructure continued to expand across U.S. airports and into enterprise and government use cases. Active CLEAR+ subscribers reached 7.6 million, with members using the service an average of seven times per year.

The most operationally significant milestone in the quarter was the eGate program’s continued rollout. As of the earnings release, CLEAR has deployed biometric eGates across 37 U.S. airports, up from 10 at the close of Q3. The program, developed in partnership with TSA, uses facial biometrics to match a live image against a government-issued ID and boarding pass at the security checkpoint, allowing verified CLEAR+ members to proceed directly to physical screening. CLEAR’s biometric eGate pilot with TSA began at three airports in August 2025; the scale of deployment since then signals rapid network expansion. Full network coverage is on track for 2026.

On the enterprise side, CLEAR1 posted its largest bookings quarter to date in Q4 and set a record for new enterprise customers signed. CLEAR1 serves as the company’s B2B identity layer, targeting use cases that extend beyond airport access to healthcare verification, workplace authentication, and government services. The platform’s contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to power identity verification for Medicare.gov, announced in December, represents a significant expansion of CLEAR1’s footprint into federal identity infrastructure.

CLEAR now operates CLEAR+ at 60 airports and 340 retail TSA PreCheck enrollment locations across the U.S., alongside a premium Concierge service at 27 airports. Platform uses across all products have reached 295.9 million cumulatively.

CLEAR’s Q3 2025 results had flagged an eGate target of 30 airports by year-end 2025 and full network coverage by 2026. The Q4 figure of 37 airports exceeds that target, reflecting accelerated deployment through the holiday travel period. The American Express partnership was also renewed on a multi-year basis, maintaining CLEAR+ as an embedded benefit on the Platinum and select other cards.

“The momentum we are seeing across CLEAR Travel and CLEAR1, combined with rising demand for secure, high-fidelity identity, underscores that we are at an inflection point for both CLEAR and our industry,” said CEO Caryn Seidman Becker.

For 2026, CLEAR is guiding to free cash flow of at least $440 million and first-quarter revenue of $242–245 million.
