CLEAR Secure has reported another quarter of double-digit growth as its biometric identity platform continues to expand across airports and digital travel services. The company disclosed its latest results in a Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, showing revenue of $229.2 million for the third quarter of 2025, an increase of 15.5 percent year over year.
Operating income reached $52.6 million, representing a margin of 23 percent, while net income came to $45.1 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $70.1 million, or 30.6 percent of revenue. The company reaffirmed its guidance for full-year EBITDA margin expansion and raised its free cash flow outlook to at least $320 million. CLEAR noted that this quarter’s negative free cash flow was due to an annual $229 million payment to a credit-card partner, which it described as a timing-related expense.
Growth in Membership and Usage
CLEAR reported 7.7 million active CLEAR+ members, a 7.5 percent increase from the previous year. Total cumulative enrollments climbed to 35.8 million, up roughly 35 percent, while total platform uses reached 280 million, marking a 27 percent annual increase. The company’s CLEAR+ retention rate remained strong at nearly 87 percent, with average member usage at seven times per year.
Membership gains were supported by continued expansion of the CLEAR+ network, now available at 60 airports across the United States. The company also operates 328 TSA PreCheck enrollment locations, reflecting its growing role in federal identity verification infrastructure. CLEAR said its new eGate program has launched at 10 airports, with plans to reach 30 by the end of 2025 and full network coverage by 2026. It also expanded its premium “Concierge” airport service to 23 locations and made its international CLEAR+ product available to U.S. travelers in over 40 countries.
Positioning as an Identity Platform
CLEAR continues to present itself as a secure, interoperable identity platform rather than a single-use travel credential. Through its CLEAR1 enterprise solution, the company is targeting use cases that extend beyond airport biometrics to workplace and financial identity verification.
The company has steadily expanded its presence in the airport biometrics market. In recent quarters, CLEAR has launched services at multiple new airports and partnered with airlines to integrate its technology into boarding processes. The broader trend toward biometric verification in aviation has accelerated as airports and airlines seek to reduce friction while maintaining security standards.
For the fourth quarter, CLEAR expects revenue between $234 million and $237 million, with bookings of $265 million to $270 million, representing growth of about 15 to 17 percent. The board also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.125 per share, payable on December 24, 2025, to shareholders of record as of December 10.
