“The news comes just about a month after CLEAR announced a trio of partnerships with other MLB teams – the Texas Rangers, the Minnesota Twins, and the Baltimore Orioles – to bring its screening program to their home stadiums, as well.”
CLEAR‘s biometric expedited screening program has come to another ballpark, this time at Cleveland’s Progressive Field, in partnership with the city’s MLB team. The development means that CLEAR members will be able to get quick and easy access to the ballpark during home games as well as Cleveland All-Star Week.
The news comes just about a month after CLEAR announced a trio of partnerships with other MLB teams – the Texas Rangers, the Minnesota Twins, and the Baltimore Orioles – to bring its screening program to their home stadiums, as well. While CLEAR started out with a focus on facilitating expedited security screening at airports, the program has steadily been expanding into the venue access space with these kinds of sports partnerships.
For baseball fans, that’s good news. CLEAR members are able to take advantage of dedicated screening lanes that they can breeze through with just a fingerprint scan; and at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park, they can even make purchases at the concession stand with a biometric scan, a service that CLEAR is working to bring to more locations.
In Cleveland, CLEAR members will get expedited access to Progressive Field through the E. 9th Street Patio Gate. And those who aren’t yet members can enroll at the stadium, with CLEAR asserting that the process takes only five minutes or less.
