CLEAR‘s biometric passenger processing system has arrived at another major US airport, enabling expedited security screening for registered travellers at Boston Logan International Airport (or BOS). The system has gone into operation at Terminal A.
In announcing this latest addition to CLEAR’s network of airport partners, the company emphasized that BOS is the primary airport serving New England. “Everyone at CLEAR is excited to launch here at Logan because it’s an important and frequent destination for so many of our members,” commented CLEAR Operations VP Gina Bruzzichesi.
The company also highlighted its partnership with Delta Air Lines, which enables biometric boarding for Delta passengers at BOS. That means there’s no need to show ID or a boarding pass for CLEAR members traveling with Delta, with those methods of verification replaced by CLEAR’s biometric authentication.
It’s a particularly significant collaboration at Boston Logan because Delta is planning to take over operations at all Terminal A gates by the third quarter of this year, the companies say.
As for CLEAR’s expanding presence across the US, BOS is the 29th member of its airport network, and the 47th partner in CLEAR’s broader network including sports arenas and other major venues.
