Clair Enables On-demand Paydays for uAttend Employees

Clair and Workwell are trying to get rid of regularly scheduled paydays. To that end, Workwell has integrated Clair’s Payday Wallet into its own uAttend attendance and timekeeping solution to give employees the ability to get paid on an on-demand basis.

The broader goal is to give employees more control over their own finances. Instead of waiting two weeks (or some other amount of time), employees will be able to log into their Payday Wallet to collect whatever wages they have earned up until that point. As a result, employees will be able to get paid whenever they need money, giving them more flexibility in an emergency.

The integration with uAttend will ensure that everyone’s salary figures are accurate. The platform is connected to the cloud, and uses biometric technology to verify people’s identities when they punch in at work. In doing so, uAttend automates many recordkeeping procedures.

The PayDay Wallet itself will be embedded throughout the uAttend platform, which includes mobile apps and online accounts in addition to physical time clocks. Those who sign up will also have access to other Clair financial services, such as a Clair Debit Mastercard and a network of 40,000 ATMs. Finally, the PayDay Wallet is compatible with leading digital payment platforms like Google and Apple Pay.

According to Clair, on-demand paydays improve workplace satisfaction and boost job performance, since employees are no longer as stressed about their finances. The company believes that most employees will be setting their own payment schedules within the next five years, and that employers will benefit from reduced turnover and lower rates of absenteeism.

uAttend is one of several biometric timekeeping products currently on the market. OnShift has released a mobile timekeeping system geared toward the healthcare industry, while Redrock has launched a contactless palm authentication system for construction sites.
