Biometric Passenger Processing Specialist Helps Lead Digital Identity Conversation in Davos

Vision-Box is at the forefront of the digital identity conversation at this week’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where Business Development VP Richard Camman sat on a panel that discussed ways to cultivate “A More Useful, Safe and Valuable Identity” for the digital economy.

During the panel, Camman noted that air travel is expected to climb 50 percent in the next ten years. As a result, airports and border security agencies need access to streamlined, interoperable identity management solutions that allow them to process large numbers of passengers without compromising their safety.

To that end, Vision-Box stressed the importance of biometric technology. It also highlighted its role in the creation of the WEF’s Known Traveler Digital Identity (KTDI) framework, which is the product of a collaboration between various public and private organizations in Canada and the Netherlands.

Vision-Box is planning to roll out an improved version of its flagship Orchestra Identity Management Platform sometime in 2020. Orchestra has been deployed in numerous airports around the world, and utilizes a highly-rated facial recognition algorithm to generate unique biometric tokens and facilitate the flow of people through airport checkpoints.
