NEXT Biometrics is continuing to expand is presence in the Indian market, forming a new partnership with yet another Aadhaar payment platform. This time, NEXT is teaming up with TROIKA Transsolutions, which will be deploying NEXT’s fingerprint sensors in Point-of-Sale terminals designed as part of an Aadhaar Enabled Payment System.
TROIKA’s comprehensive financial portfolio includes hardware, software, and payment processing developed for a variety of applications. The partnership with NEXT will allow the company to boost the security of its new POS terminals.
“NEXT’s sensor technology supports our aim to deliver innovative and reliable payment solutions at lower setup and operational costs,” said TROIKA Managing Director Sanjay Kamra. “We are looking to provide reliable, secure and efficient payment using biometric authentication in the Indian market and beyond.”
TROIKA is one of several Aadhaar payment providers to partner with NEXT Biometrics, which has made the Aadhaar market an increasingly vital component of its business. In the past few months alone, NEXT’s fingerprint sensors have been integrated into POS terminals Wiseasy from Shanghai Basewin Technology, and were previously placed in Aadhaar solutions from Telpo and MobiOcean.
The latest agreement suggests that NEXT will continue to make Aadhaar a priority, and that there is still a strong demand for secure fingerprint authentication in financial applications.
