Onfido is boasting about a stellar year after posting a 171 percent year-over-year growth in sales for the second quarter. The company credited the strong growth to a number of different factors, including a series of new customers and strategic partners.
“Our core identity verification business is continuing to meet and exceed the market need for a highly-effective yet low-friction verification service,” said Onfido Co-Founder and CEO Husayn Kassai. “Equally important is where the market is heading and we continue to be actively engaged with a range of stakeholders who are defining the future of reusable online identities.”
The new customers that have turned to Onfido for secure identity verification services include the blockchain-based digital identity and payment platform Nuggets and the Civic cryptocurrency wallet. Onfido was also named as the recipient of the 2019 Frost & Sullivan European Technology Innovation Award, and is currently testing a portable identity solution as part of an FCA sandbox program in the UK. The latter is being carried out in conjunction with a slew of FinTech partners, and attests to the company’s position at the forefront of the identity verification industry.
Other Onfido highlights include a partnership with Checkr and the announcement of its international partner program.
