Konami Gaming has taken home the top casino prize in the Casino Management Systems category at this year’s Data Quadrant Awards. The Awards are handed out by SoftwareReviews, and were selected based on reviews from verified industry professionals.
Konami was recognized for its SYNKROS casino management system, a rewards program that utilizes Konami’s SYNK Vision facial recognition tech to track the activity and playtime of casino customers. SYNKROS was chosen as the top solution in the casino industry, and was consequently rewarded with a gold medal from SoftwareReviews.
“We are pleased to highlight Konami’s SYNKROS as the market leader in this year’s Data Quadrant Awards,” said SoftwareReviews President David Piazza. “Our report is founded entirely upon user review data, with a method of analysis backed by over two decades of IT research. These results show that Konami has built a strong relationship with their customers.”
SYNKROS blends SYNK Vision with Konami’s SynkConnect mobile app for casino players. The platform achieved the top spot in three individual categories on its way to the top overall score, being named as the best for user training, reporting and analytics, and system-delivered bonusing.
“Our SYNKROS team is committed to cultivating strong customer relationships, built on trust and shared collaboration,” added Konami Gaming Global System Sales VP Jay Bertsch.
Of course, Konami is not the only casino operator to display an interest in facial recognition. The online gaming platform Novibet is using Jumio’s biometric onboarding tech to verify the ages of its customers, while the Japanese government is hoping to use facial recognition to identify and prevent gambling addition. However, it is worth noting that the Rivers Casino in Des Plains, Illinois has been hit with a BIPA lawsuit for failing to notify customers about the use of facial recognition.
