Multimodal biometric technology company Innovatrics has announced that its SmartFace facial recognition platform has received verification by Milestone Marketplace and has been successfully integrated into the Milestone XProtect video management software.
SmartFace is a facial recognition platform that can handle multiple real-time video streams in parallel, and is powered by algorithms based on the most recent National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) results.
With its integration into Milestone XProtect, SmartFace monitors video feeds securing a physical facility, and can identify an individual belonging to a specified watchlist. In the event that someone on a watchlist is identified by the system, SmartFace will send a notification to Milestone’s servers about the match, which will also contain further information about the source of the event.
“With the flawless integration of SmartFace with XProtect, Innovatrics can reach a global audience demanding a robust and reliable face recognition platform that optimizes business processes and improves how people conduct their everyday activities,” said Marián Beňo, Product Manager at Innovatrics. “Not only can SmartFace process multiple cameras at the same time, but it is also designed to allow system integrators and end users to benefit from its tracking options, precise accuracy, and scaling possibilities,” he added.
A desktop application is available and serves as a configurator for the connectivity and camera mapping between the two systems.
Innovatrics says it has completed over 500 projects in 80 countries, and that over a billion people have been biometrically processed using its software.
