InCadence Lands $20 Million Army Contract

InCadence has landed a $20 million contract to provide biometric technology and support services for the U.S. Army. The contract covers a two-year period, and was handed out as part of the Army’s $37.4 billion Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services program.

The contract specifically concerns a Near Real Time Identity Operations (NRTIO) task order from the Project Management team within the Department of Defense Biometrics office (PM DoD Biometrics). InCadence will outfit the Army with biometric hardware and software for the NRTIO system, and will proceed to provide ongoing communications, maintenance, and operations support for the duration of the contract.

“We are very proud to support this important mission and customer,” said InCadence Chairman and CEO Sandy Corbett. “This effort represents a critical opportunity for InCadence to support the warfighter with technology, innovation and efficiencies, while providing global operational support.”

The base portion of the contract only concerns the first year, but it includes an option for a second year that brings the potential value of the contract to the aforementioned $20 million.

InCadence is best known as a provider of mobile biometric solutions for government agencies in the United States. The company’s mobile app is an FBI Certified Product, and the FBI itself has previously deployed its Android fingerprint capture software. InCadence has also provided multimodal security for the Department of State’s diplomatic facilities.
