ImageWare Achieves SOC-2 Compliance

ImageWare’s security practices have officially met the latest Service Organization Control 2 (SOC-2) guidelines. First developed by the American Institute of CPAs, the SOC-2 standard measures an organization’s ability to protect the personal information and user data of its customers when using cloud technology.   

ImageWare can boast that it is compliant with those standards after submitting its identity management portfolio for a full third-party security audit. The successful audit is now complete, and was carried out by NDNB Assurance LLP.

“Protecting our customers’ data and privacy continues to be a high priority for us,” said ImageWare CEO Jim Miller. “SOC-2 compliance is widely recognized as a benchmark of security, and we’re very proud to have third-party validation that our processes are secure.”

The SOC-2 certification should only bolster ImageWare’s strong security reputation. The company’s identity verification tech is already compliant with a slew of international regulatory standards, including GDPR, PSD2, PCI, and FIPS 140-2 (Level 3), and its team believes that the widespread adoption of such standards will increase the demand for its services in the years ahead.

ImageWare recently partnered with Fujitsu to make it easier to deploy biometric authentication and data protection technology on IoT devices. It also released the long-awaited macOS version of the GoVerifyID authentication platform.
