CyberLink has announced that it will be highlighting FaceMe facial recognition for guests at next month’s CES event in January. Those interested in getting a look at the platform will be able to do so at the CyberLink booth (#25555) in Hall South 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The FaceMe platform first debuted in 2018, and can be deployed for a range of different applications, including access control, authentication, and analytics. The solution scored well in a recent round of NIST testing, placing 12th in the WILD 1E-4 benchmark category. The company has since boosted the performance of the FaceMe engine through a strategic partnership with Advantech and the integration of the latter’s AIR Inference System.
The Advantech partnership was forged with an eye towards facial recognition for IoT devices.
“Facial recognition and edge-based AI are quickly becoming some of the market’s hottest technologies and we are committed to providing our customer base with precise biometric solutions,” said CyberLink Founder and CEO Jau Huang. “Visitors to our CES booth will be able to learn about some of the most recent applications of our technology.”
FaceMe has previously appeared in a customer service robot from the Syscom Group. CyberLink has regularly taken the platform on the road in 2019, making stops at Computex and GSX during the lead-up to CES.
Next year’s CES is scheduled to run from January 7 to 10. CyberLink Senior Vice President and General Manager Richard Carriere will be discussing the latest AI trends during a press conference the day before the official beginning of the show. The press conference will be hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and will take place on January 6 in Oceanside Ballroom F at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
