Mobile biometrics specialist IDENTY has appointed an industry veteran as its new Vice President of Sales.
Hector Sandoval comes to the role after serving as the COO of Margins Group’s ICPS Business Unit in Ghana. Notably, prior to that role he spent 12 and a half years with IDEMIA, one of the biggest global names in identity and security. He started his term as the Managing Director of Morpho in 2008, and ultimately served as IDEMIA’s sales VP for its LATAM Digital business unit from June of 2017 to December of 2020.
In a statement announcing his appointment, IDENTY highlighted Sandoval’s more than 20 years of experience in the security industry and his strong track record in driving sales and growth.
“Hector brings incredible amount of security industry expertise knowledge to IDENTY, strengthening our touchless mobile biometric-focused domain leadership in the Latin America region,” commented IDENTY Co-founder Antony Vendhan.
FindBiometrics’ Doug OGorden caught up with Vendhan at last year’s Connect:ID conference in Washington, D.C., where the firm was featured in the event’s startups area. IDENTY is focused on the development of touchless fingerprint and face-based authentication on mobile devices, with an additional emphasis on effective liveness detection to thwart presentation attacks.
