“Enterprises care most about protecting their most valuable assets – their people, data and IP. The physical security systems of yesterday don’t have the intelligence and security that is demanded in today’s workplace.” – Rob Douglas, CEO, BioConnect
BioConnect is offering a sneak preview of planned enhancements to its biometric access control offering, with a strong focus on mobile technology.
The biometric security specialist has announced that it’s working on a new system that will enable enterprise clients to step up authentication for physical access requests in conjunction with pre-approved Multi-Factor Authentication solutions already on the market, such as the Duo mobile app. Meanwhile, access points requiring even stronger security can be protected using the BioConnect ID mobile authenticator, as well as third-party biometric solutions like Suprema’s fingerprint readers.
The aim is to leverage all these authentication solutions across a unified digital application, so that administrators can monitor and configure everything through a single IT dashboard.
In a statement announcing the planned solutions, BioConnect CEO Rob Douglas emphasized the critical need for this kind of technological evolution in access control. “Enterprises care most about protecting their most valuable assets – their people, data and IP,” he said. “The physical security systems of yesterday don’t have the intelligence and security that is demanded in today’s workplace.”
