Toronto-based biometric authentication technology company BioConnect has announced that it has been granted the first-place award for Best Convergence and Integration Solution of 2021 at the ISC West New Product Showcase, for the BioConnect Enterprise 5.0 component of its flagship BioConnect Trust Platform.
An advanced version of BioConnect Enterprise, Enterprise 5.0 expands the capabilities of the Trust platform by adding the capability to unify Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), biometrics, mobile, health & safety, privacy and compliance across traditional access points in the enterprise and beyond traditional access points into micro-data centers and edge devices.
“Having the Security Industry Association (SIA) recognize the impact of BioConnect Enterprise 5.0 and thereby our Trust platform for organizations that require a scalable, integrated and adaptable user authentication platform is a great milestone for the BioConnect team,” said BioConnect Founder, Chairman and CEO Rob Douglas. “This platform evolved over ten years of collaboration with key PAC partners, system integrators and over 900 companies that trust us to help protect their enterprise from costly physical breaches and regulatory fines,” he added.
The Trust platform is designed for organizations whose digital infrastructure spans across numerous office locations, with diverse employee and visitor populations, allowing them to integrate and implement secure systems, while meeting compliance standards and remaining scalable and with a low total cost of ownership.
BioConnect has enjoyed a successful run of late. Following an announcement last summer that it was joining the prominent MaRS Momentum accelerator program, its Wellness Declaration Solution (WDS) was chosen by the Federal Government of Canada to be implemented into the MaRS facility in downtown Toronto.
The WDS was designed as a simple solution that can be deployed rapidly to a facility or workforce via employees’ mobile devices as a contactless solution to help organizations respond to the challenges brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic.
