BehavioSec Releases SaaS Version of Behavioral Biometrics Platform

BehavioSec is filling out its portfolio with the release of two new versions of its flagship BehavioSense behavioral biometrics platform. The first is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version, while the second is a vendor-hosted version that is fully compliant with the latest Type 2 SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards.

BehavioSec is hoping that the new versions will help the company pick up a wider array of clients. As it stands, BehavioSec has only delivered its solution for large banks, identity providers, and global online retailers. The SaaS offering, on the other hand, should increase its appeal with smaller businesses that would prefer to outsource identity verification to a third-party with more expertise in that particular field. In that regard, BehavioSec noted that even highly regulated organizations like banks are increasingly willing to collaborate with specialists on critical tasks like transaction monitoring, instead of trying to handle everything in-house.

With that in mind, BehavioSec has optimized its API and its SDK to make the SaaS platform as intuitive as possible. The solution can be integrated into an existing access management solution, using frictionless multi-factor authentication to minimize the need for step-up authentication. BehavioSense can be used in conjunction with one-time passwords and SMS codes, or it can replace passwords and other knowledge-based authenticators entirely.

The vendor-hosted version of the platform will similarly let customers realize the full potential of BehavioSec’s behavioral biometrics technology, with a solution that can authenticate users across devices. BehavioSec achieved SOC Type 1 compliance earlier this year, and has since worked to meet the stricter SOC Type 2 and ISO requirements.

BehavioSec is moving forward with a controlled release of the BehavioSense SaaS platform, ahead of a general release later in the year. The new offerings will provide customers with more flexible licensing and packaging options, which will in turn allow BehavioSec to deliver a solution that meets an organization’s specific needs. BehavioSec also received two new patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office back in June.
