California-based identity management software company Avatier Corporation has announced the launch of its new mobile app designed to create a collaborative, self-service approach to enterprise access control for iOS and Android.
The Avatier app aims to simplify identity access management (IAM) by giving organizations greater control over the granting of access certificates, and of who has access to data and assets, reducing the reliance on IT departments and potentially eliminating the costs of time-consuming support calls.
“IT staffs spend an inordinate amount of time managing user access requests and conducting access audits,” said Nelson Cicchitto, founder and CEO of Avatier. “Avatier’s user experience changes the game with push notifications and a touch interface that can save companies millions of dollars by streamlining security controls and authorization while enabling their entire workforce to approve access immediately when needed.”
“With Avatier’s mobile application support, CSOs, IT personnel, security and compliance teams save time and resources by simplifying identity management and truly enabling enterprise-wide self-service,” he added.
The app also supports compliance access certificates, single sign-on (SSO), and passwordless authentication which has the potential to reduce the costs associated with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) licences and self-service password management solutions.
Avatier’s passwordless authentication can also be integrated with third party multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions such as Duo Security, Google Authenticator, Okta Verify, Ping Identity, Radius, RSA SecureID, Symantec VIP and any FIDO2-compliant solution.
It can also provide one-time passwords (OTP) via SMS and email, along with biometric MFA solutions, which in light of the COVID-19 pandemic security experts agree are the most reliable form of digital security and are ideal for a future where it appears remote authentication will continue to grow in importance.
The app also simplifies the access experience for everyone by providing a single interface for employees, customers, contractors and vendors, and is now available for download on both iOS and Android.
