authID and Berify Partner to Deploy Biometric Identity Kiosks at 5,000-Plus Locations

authID and Berify have announced a partnership to deploy biometric identity verification kiosks across health, wellness, fitness, and government-secured facilities in the United States, with a stated target of more than 5,000 locations. The joint solution integrates Berify’s Berify.me kiosk system with authID’s biometric identity verification platform.

The initial deployment is focused on government-secured facilities and controlled contractor environments. The partners plan to expand from there into health, wellness, and fitness locations, as well as sites where access to age-restricted goods requires identity verification. The companies describe biometric-assisted age verification as a central use case for the kiosk network.

Berify CEO Rhon Daguro framed the partnership in terms of market positioning: “Partnering with authID allows Berify to lead the biometric-assisted age verification market.”

The kiosk deployment follows the PIV-aligned biometric security package that authID developed for critical infrastructure environments, announced earlier this month. That package targets regulated facilities requiring high-assurance identity verification, a similar customer profile to the government-secured facilities Berify is targeting in the initial kiosk rollout.

authID has been building its platform and partnership portfolio over the past year. The company raised capital through a $3.7 million direct offering in late 2025, which it stated would help scale its identity platform and commercial partnerships. The company has also partnered on deepfake-resistant identity verification with Prove, adding anti-spoofing capabilities to its core biometric stack.

Physical kiosk deployments of biometric identity verification systems raise compliance considerations that vary by state. Operators deploying kiosks that capture biometric data in Illinois, for example, must meet notice, consent, and retention requirements under the Biometric Information Privacy Act. An Illinois BIPA settlement over fingerprint time clocks in early 2026 underscored the financial exposure companies face when biometric collection procedures are not properly documented.
