AuthID and Prove Partner on Deepfake-Resistant Identity Verification

AuthID Inc. and Prove have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering deepfake-resistant identity verification solutions on a global scale. The collaboration merges AuthID’s biometric authentication platform with Prove’s digital identity verification technologies, targeting the growing threat posed by AI-generated fraud and synthetic identities.

Advanced Biometric Integration Against Deepfakes

The new alliance comes as deepfake technology becomes increasingly sophisticated, creating risks for organizations that rely on digital identity verification to secure sensitive transactions and protect personal data.

AuthID’s cloud-based Verified platform, capable of authenticating user identities in as little as 700 milliseconds, will be integrated with Prove’s suite of identity tools to strengthen defenses against AI-driven threats. A key component of the combined offering is AuthID’s PrivacyKey biometric authentication system, which launched on January 28, 2025, and is designed to operate without retaining any biometric data. As AuthID states in its product release, PrivacyKey “stores no biometric data whatsoever,” reducing potential privacy risks while maintaining strong authentication standards.

Prove’s contributions to the partnership include technologies acquired through its recent acquisition of Portabl, which has strengthened Prove’s infrastructure for digital identity verification and expanded its capabilities in seamless onboarding and fraud prevention. The collaboration between AuthID and Prove aims to deliver a layered defense strategy that detects and blocks synthetic identities and deepfake videos during identity proofing processes.

Security, Privacy, and Market Drivers

The integrated platform offers real-time biometric authentication and incorporates deepfake detection algorithms, which, according to AuthID, can detect up to 99 percent of manipulated videos or images during liveness checks. The companies also intend for the solution to align with evolving security standards, as AuthID supports integration with FIDO2 passkey technologies to promote passwordless authentication and reduce the risks associated with traditional credentials.

Market interest in combating deepfake threats is on the rise. A recent Markets and Markets report projects the global deepfake detection and prevention market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of more than 44 percent through 2030. Industries such as financial services, healthcare, and government are expected to drive demand for advanced identity verification solutions that can withstand sophisticated AI-based fraud tactics.

Both AuthID and Prove see the partnership as a step toward providing enterprises with scalable, privacy-conscious solutions to address current and emerging threats in identity security. By combining real-time biometrics, AI-driven fraud detection, and secure digital onboarding, the companies aim to help organizations protect their customers while ensuring a smooth and user-friendly authentication experience.
