With ISC West underway this week in Las Vegas and April being Physical Access and Enterprise Month at FindBiometrics, it’s fitting that we should catch up with Princeton Identity during this month’s big security industry event. The company specializes in iris-based biometric access control, and announced a big new solution just ahead of this week’s show: IOM Access200, a sleek, wall-mounted unit that can identify a user in less then a quarter of a second thanks to its high-speed iris recognition technology.
On the ISC West show floor, FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill had the opportunity to speak with Princeton Identity CEO Mark Clifton, who started things off with an overview of his company’s Access200 solution, and went on to discuss “some fairly decent contracts” Princeton Identity has recently won with industry, commercial, and government clients. The discussion concludes with Clifton’s predictions for where the industry is headed over the next couple of years, including hints that Princeton Identity may soon be expanding into the areas of FinTech and payments, retail, and perhaps even biometric border screening.
