Smart Eye Technology has formed a strategic partnership with Complete Computers to bring advanced biometric security solutions to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across Northwest Arkansas. The collaboration is designed to help local businesses tackle growing cybersecurity threats by replacing traditional password systems with modern, multi-modal biometric authentication technologies.
The Bentonville-based Smart Eye Technology, recently selected for the Tampa Bay Wave CyberTech|X Accelerator program, will provide its robust suite of biometric security tools. These include facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, voice verification, and behavioral analytics such as printing behavior and continuous session monitoring—features that go beyond static authentication to ensure real-time verification throughout a user’s session.
Complete Computers, a regional IT services firm, will manage local deployment, customization, and support. Their role includes hands-on technical training and tailoring each installation to the specific workflows of SMB clients, helping to lower the barrier of entry for advanced cybersecurity solutions.
This initiative comes at a time when SMBs are increasingly seen as vulnerable targets for cyberattacks, yet often lack the in-house expertise to deploy sophisticated defenses. By offering accessible biometric technologies backed by local support, the partnership aims to bridge this gap in a region undergoing rapid digital transformation.
Smart Eye’s partnership with Complete Computers follows a series of strategic moves that have expanded the company’s footprint in the cybersecurity space, including a collaboration with Finov8r to develop fraud prevention tools for community banks and a major licensing deal for iris recognition technology signed earlier this year.
According to recent industry research, SMBs are rapidly embracing biometric security as a preferred form of multi-factor authentication. A JumpCloud survey found that 54 percent of respondents viewed biometrics as more secure than traditional methods. The growing adoption of multi-modal biometrics—combining facial, fingerprint, and voice recognition—underscores this trend.
Still, biometric deployments raise important considerations. The partnership intends to address privacy and regulatory compliance concerns, including adherence to frameworks like the GDPR and CCPA. Complete Computers will assist clients in implementing best practices for secure data handling and consent-based biometric data use.
Challenges such as cost, employee adoption, and training remain potential obstacles for SMBs, but the companies aim to mitigate these through scalable solutions and personalized onboarding. As more competitors—including firms like Invixium—target this segment with affordable biometric offerings, Smart Eye and Complete Computers are positioning themselves as a local, high-touch alternative with enterprise-grade tools.
The initiative is part of a broader movement toward secure, passwordless authentication, with hardware manufacturers increasingly embedding biometrics into their devices. By focusing on SMBs in Northwest Arkansas, this partnership seeks to democratize access to these tools and set a new regional standard for cybersecurity.
