BioConnect‘s flagship biometric identity platform has been deployed by Netwise Hosting Ltd., a London-based data center colocation provider. The system was implemented for access control purposes.
It’s a measure that Netwise Hosting sought to implement as it expanded its facilities with a new 11,000-square foot data center. The company’s business revolves around hosting increasing amounts of potentially sensitive data for customers, and as such its management team wanted a secure and effective access control solution for its facilities.
In a blog post detailing the deployment on Suprema’s website, the companies indicated that a major factor underlying Netwise Hosting’s selection of BioConnect as its access control solution was the platform’s compatibility with Paxton Net2, the access control software favored by the company; BioConnect integrated Paxton Net2 compatibility into its platform in 2014, back before it rebranded from its previous name, Entertech. But that certainly wasn’t the only factor: Netwise Hosting Managing Director also highlighted “their feature set and quality of the readers themselves,” and the “almost immediate availability of the product” as well as BioConnect’s “excellent support”.
It’s a ringing endorsement, and one that should add to BioConnect’s credibility in the biometric access control market.
