AnyVision is providing touchless access control and timekeeping services for a food production company in Toronto. FGF Brands mass-produces baked goods for grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants, and has a client roster that includes major players like Starbucks and Walmart.
The partnership with AnyVision is intended to help streamline the company’s access and record keeping operations. To that end, FGF Brands has installed AnyVision’s Abraxas access control solution at seven facilities in the Toronto area, and has fully integrated the platform with its own time and attendance tracking software.
Abraxas uses facial recognition to verify the identities of employees as they approach a point of entry. Those employees will be clocked in at the same time, which means that the system will perform both functions in one simple step. FGF will also monitor the health of its employees with AnyVision thermal cameras that can deny access to anyone with an elevated temperature. The company decided to adopt the cameras to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
The integration was carried out via API. The automated system does away with traditional entry mechanisms like key cards and touchscreens, and lets people enter the building without making physical contact with a shared device.
“Facial recognition is only starting to be harnessed by industry to streamline operations and improve employee safety,” said AnyVision CEO Avi Golan. “Organizations like FGF are committed to innovative technologies that are safe, reliable and battle-tested.”
“AnyVision’s state-of-the-art facial recognition solution has become a catalyst for other integrations that fuel our workplace safety and efficiency,” added FGF Data Sciences and Analytics VP Tom Mansourfar.
AnyVision is currently trying to scale its authentication and access portfolio after bringing in $43 million in funding in September. The company’s facial recognition algorithm posted a top-ten overall score in a recent round of NIST testing.
