Zoloz Achieves PAD Level 2 Compliance for Biometric Tech

Zoloz, an electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) technology provider and an Ant Financial Company, has achieved compliance with Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) Level 1 and Level 2 in accordance with the ISO 30107-3 standards for its biometric technology.

Independent third-party quality assurance provider iBeta conducted the test, during which the tester, posing as a malicious user, attempted to fool Zoloz’s biometric authentication system using photos, videos and plastic masks.

The results of the test showed that Zoloz achieved an attack presentation classification error rate (APCER) of zero percent, meaning its system wasn’t spoofed by any of the attempted methods.

ISO 30107-3 is considered the most stringent of international standards for biometric technologies, and Zoloz is only the fourth company in the world to achieve Level 2 compliance via the PAD test.

“This ISO certification recognized the resilience of Zoloz’s biometric authentication system, which has an accuracy rate of up to 99.99%,” said Chen Jidong, the general manager of Zoloz. “With this financial-grade technology, Zoloz is committed to providing banks and financial institutions with efficient e-KYC solutions that greatly reduce the complexity of identity verification and authentication processes,” he added.

Zoloz uses advanced biometrics for its e-KYC system, offering users the ability to complete the entire verification process from anywhere using only their smartphone and an ID. Banks throughout Asia use Zoloz’s solution, including TnGD in Malaysia, GCash in the Philippines, Dana in Indonesia, and TrueMoney in Thailand.
