Alcatraz has named a new Director of Business Development to help drive the growth of its biometric access control solution.
Holley Hunt after previous high-level positions with Johnson Control, where she served as Global Strategic Account Executive starting in 2017 and then as Director of Business Development in 2019. Before that, she was the Business Development Manager of Qognify, a security-focused data analytics firm, from November of 2015 to May of 2017.
Hunt has also held positions as Director of Strategic Partnerships for The Kepler Group and as a Regional Sales Manager for Bosch Security Systems.
“She has impressive security industry business development experience with world-renowned security leaders,” explained Alcatraz Chief Revenue Officer Tina D’Agostin in a statement announcing Hunt’s appointment. “What’s also impressive is that throughout her career, Holley has taken the extra step of serving as a mentor to her peers in the industry and also in encouraging young women to get into STEM fields to help create future leaders.”
Hunt’s appointment comes on the heels of Alcatraz’s announcement earlier this month that it had appointed Blaine Frederick as its new VP of Product, suggesting that the company is at an important juncture in terms of the growth of its business. Like Hunt, Frederick will be focusing on the Alcatraz Rock, the company’s flagship access control solution, which uses facial recognition to enable automated access control, recognizing registered individuals as they approach an access point.
“With Alcatraz, I’m starting a new chapter and it’s all about the rock,” said Hunt. “And by rock, I mean several things – a foundation to set my future and an opportunity to focus on the Alcatraz Rock autonomous access control platform.”
Hunt added that the Alcatraz Rock’s use of contactless technology offers “just what’s needed for security” at a time when touchless experiences are coming into favor amid the global pandemic.
