A webinar slated for this Wednesday is poised to give participants important information about cybersecurity and a compelling new solution.
Titled “Trusted and Contactless Products for the Future IoT”, the webinar will be hosted by Aerendir, and will focus on its unique authentication technology. Aerendir’s system is designed to use common smartphone sensors to collect data on micro-movements related to the user’s muscles. Mapping the patterns in these subtle vibrations enables Aerendir’s solution to create a biometric profile for authentication.
Aerendir has now taken this approach a step further by combining that biometric profile with a digital Trust Certificate, which can be used to identify the user’s identity without the need to share various biographic data.
“A-cert binds a dedicated Trust Certificate and key-pair with a person’s biometric signature rather than the individual’s identifying information, such as name, address, credit card number or social security number,” the company explains on its webinar registration page. “A-Cert is nevertheless linked to an individual’s identity, but in a way that gives the option to protect the user’s identity or not. The result is a private, trustable, linkable, fully encrypted and auditable digital identity.”
The webinar is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on October 21st. Registration is free, and participants have the opportunity to submit a question that will be addressed in a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
