As for the aforementioned executive changes, they occurred at two of the biggest companies in the authentication space. One of those was HID Global, which has just brought on a new Chief Executive Officer:

As for venture capital, this week brought the news that Persona, an identity verification startup aiming to provide an extra layer of security to the entire internet, has raised $17.5 million in Series A funding. The investment came in from firms including Coatue and First Round Capital:
