Xperix Partners with Polaris AI to Enhance Biometric Security Solutions

Xperix, a digital identity specialist formerly known as Suprema ID, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Polaris AI to jointly develop security solutions tailored for the financial and public sectors. The agreement aims to integrate Xperix’s biometric authentication technologies with Polaris AI’s operational expertise in maintaining complex information systems.

Combining Biometric Innovation with Operational Depth

The partnership brings together two distinct areas of expertise. Xperix is known for its high-performance fingerprint and identity recognition systems, recently showcased in its launch of what it says is the world’s smallest FBI-certified fingerprint scanner, the RealScan SG10. Unveiled in May, the SG10 is an optical FAP-60 scanner weighing just 250 grams and measuring 16 mm in thickness. It meets FBI Appendix F image-quality standards, highlighting the company’s continued commitment to compact, high-quality biometric devices.

Polaris AI, meanwhile, specializes in system operation and maintenance for financial institutions and government agencies, particularly in South Korea. The company is also investing in artificial intelligence as a vertical growth strategy. By integrating biometric technologies into secure operational frameworks, the companies aim to offer advanced solutions that meet the stringent security and compliance demands of public-sector and financial clients.

“Security technology is not just a function but a core infrastructure that encompasses the entire certification ecosystem based on social trust,” said Yoon Sang-chul, CEO of Xperix. “This agreement is the starting point for creating solutions specialized in the public and financial sectors through organic combination of technology and practice.”

Strategic Focus and Future Opportunities

The MOU outlines plans to collaborate on AI-driven vertical security solutions, particularly those involving digital authentication, biometric security, and financial security. While the MOU itself is not a binding commercial agreement, it serves as a formal commitment to explore technology integration and potential joint deployments. Further announcements are expected as the companies pursue commercialization milestones.

Both Xperix and Polaris AI see this collaboration as a response to growing market demand for secure and efficient identity verification systems. Governments and financial institutions are under pressure to modernize authentication infrastructure while maintaining user privacy and trust. The partnership positions both firms to address those needs with integrated offerings that combine physical security, operational reliability, and AI-driven risk mitigation.

The announcement comes amid heightened competition in the digital identity space, where vendors are increasingly partnering across disciplines to build full-stack security ecosystems. As biometric devices gain traction in civil ID, border control, and fintech applications, integrations with backend infrastructure and compliance-ready software are becoming essential to large-scale deployments.
