“…the Xiaomi Mi Mix’s screen covers almost the entire front face of the device, and features an FPC1235 fingerprint sensor on its backside. It also has the distinction of being the first smartphone to feature this particular sensor model.”
Xiaomi is sticking with its most trusted biometrics technology suppliers for two new smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi Mix and the Xiaomi Note 2 both feature fingerprint sensors from Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics algorithm software.
The Xiaomi Note 2 features an FPC1245 fingerprint sensor at the bottom of its front face. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi Mix’s screen covers almost the entire front face of the device, and features an FPC1235 fingerprint sensor on its backside. It also has the distinction of being the first smartphone to feature this particular sensor model.
Both smartphones’ biometric scanning is based on Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software.
They’re the latest in a long line of Xiaomi integrations of Fingerprint Cards and Precise Biometrics technology, with the last one having been announced only a couple of weeks ago. Xiaomi is evidently a happy customer, and it’s fair to expect more such integrations to come.
