Xator Acquires Military Biometrics-focused InCadence

Information technology solutions company Xator Corporation recently announced its acquisition of government-focused solutions integrator InCadence Strategic Solutions Corp.

“InCadence’s proven ability to leverage its deep domain experience, differentiated by its software and hardware, into customer-focused solutions will catalyze growth opportunities when joined with Xator,” said David Scott, Xator’s CEO. “Xator’s acquisition of InCadence represents a very exciting combination of technical expertise and intellectual property, which will continue to serve our complementary client sets for years to come.”

The deal was established shortly before the announcement that InCadence — best known for its mobile biometric solutions — had won another major contract to supply the United States Marines with handheld biometric devices to help soldiers identify individuals when in the field.

In addition to its contract with the Marines, Incadence announced it had been awarded a $20 million dollar deal with the United States Army this past December that will see it provide biometric hardware and software — as well as communications, maintenance and operations support — for the Near Real Time identity Operations (NRTIO) system.

The deal is expected to strengthen Xator’s position as a provider of C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance), national security and intelligence solutions to a number of United States Government departments and partners.
