Xailient’s Casino Facial Recognition Platform Gets GLI Validation

Xailient says Gaming Laboratories International has independently validated its Casino Eye-D facial recognition platform, confirming the system’s functional and technical specifications for use on casino gaming floors.

Casino Eye-D is an edge-AI facial recognition system that Xailient says integrates with casino management systems to handle patron identification, loyalty engagement, and anti-money-laundering monitoring. GLI’s review covered patron identification tied to casino management systems, automated enrollment and image quality checks, biometric processing at enterprise scale, and identification of excluded patrons for security alerts. GLI also confirmed the system’s functionality is limited to casino management integration, with no engagement in game functionality itself.

Xailient has previously announced integrations with Konami Gaming’s SYNK Vision and Light & Wonder’s casino management system, and in February the New South Wales Minister for Racing and Gaming approved a trial deployment of the technology in that state. Doug Beavers, Xailient’s senior director of business development, said the company plans to show Casino Eye-D to operators at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas this October.

The validation adds Xailient to a casino facial recognition field where identification systems already run on independent regulatory sign-off, as when Konami expanded its own facial recognition system to connect slot and table game players.
